Well, according to Reuters Amazon is going to be launching a new version of their Fire tablet on Thursday next week…of course it might be easier to believe if it were a more reputable source. (<<<<<<------ sarcasm alert!!!!)

There are rumors of larger and smaller units, GPS and even a cooperative effort with Nokia for mapping software. Umm…OK, I didn’t see that one coming…
The claim of “one in every five tablets sold” is interesting if they are trying to make a case for being a strong number two in the market but it seems to me like the Nexus7 holds that title right now. I find it interesting that you can actually buy a Nexus7 on Amazon at a mark up from the price that Google will sell it to you for.
